Would you like your child to be able to be independent in choosing their clothes in the morning to take some of the burden off your shoulders?
We have the solution for you!
Are you ready?
STEP #1
Get some boxes
- Ideally 3 boxes per drawer (2 of the same size and 1 smaller)
STEP #2
Take all the clothes out of the drawers
- Ideally, make small piles of items that "fit" together.
STEP #3
Insert 2 large boxes and one smaller one into each drawer
- One of the two large boxes will be used for HOODIES or JACKETS
- The other large box will be used for T-SHIRTS or LIGHTWEIGHT LONGSLEEVES
- The small box will be used for pants
STEP #4
Take your small piles of items that "fit" together & separate them by item:
HOODIES / JACKETS
T-SHIRTS / LONG SLEEVES
PANTS
Once this is done, do one drawer at a time.
- Add your HOODIES/JACKETS to the first drawer in the 1st large bench
- Add the T-SHIRTS/LONGSLEEVES to the 2nd large bin in the same drawer.
- Add the PANTS to the small tray in the same drawer
- If you want, like I do, you can also include accessories that match the clothes. In my case, I incorporate caps.
& REPEAT for each drawer!
In the morning, your children will only have to open the drawer of their choices and select
- HOODIES
- T-SHIRT
- PANTS
- ACCESSORIES
& you will be satisfied with their choices by giving them the freedom to choose their clothes.
